Aberdeen woman to face trial over baby's injuries
An Aberdeen woman is to stand trial charged with attacking an eight-month old girl.
Syeda Begum is said to have repeatedly shook the child to her “severe injury, permanent impairment and danger of life”.
The assault allegedly occurred at a property in Aberdeen on New Year's Day 2017.
The 28 year-old – who also lives in the city - was not present today/yesterday during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Frances Connor, defending, pled not guilty on her behalf.
Judge Lord Mulholland set a trial due to begin in August in Aberdeen.
The case is expected to last for two weeks.
