Man charged in connection with the death of Jacqueline Kerr in Aberdeen
The man will appear in court today
A man is due to appear in court after the death of a woman in Aberdeen.
Jacqueline Kerr, who was 54, was found dead at a property of Sunnyside Road on Monday following concerns for her welfare.
A 43-year-old man will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
Jacqueline's family have paid tribute to her as a "fun loving person" who was "a brilliant family member and a dear friend to so many".
They have asked for privacy while they come to terms with their loss.
Detective Inspector Gary Winter, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said:
“My thoughts are with the family and friends of Jacqueline at this extremely difficult time.
"There is no doubt that this incident will cause concern within the community, however, I would like to stress that we are treating this as an isolated and contained matter.
“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience while this incident is being investigated.
"A visible police presence will remain in the area as we continue with our enquiries and I would, again, ask for the public's patience."
