Aberdeen student seriously injured in Ibiza fall

It's being reported an Aberdeen student's been seriously hurt in a fall from a second floor flat in Ibiza.

Kanza Rehman is a third year Tourism student at Robert Gordon University.

It's understood she fell early this morning and was flown to the mainland for treatment.

A Foreign Office Spokesman said: “We are in contact with local authorities following the hospitalisation of a British woman in Ibiza and are ready to provide consular support.”

University principal Ferdinand von Prondzynski said: ""We are aware one of our students has been involved in an accident while on holiday in Ibiza.

"Our thoughts are with the student and her family and friends at this troubling time and we hope for a full and speedy recovery."

The student was transferred to hospital in Palma, Majorca, due to the serious nature of her injuries.
