Graeme Shinnie's back at Aberdeen on loan from Wigan Athletic until the end of the season.

The 31 year old midfielder joined from Inverness Caley Thistle in summer 2015 and made 188 appearances, for the Dons, including 3 cup finals.

He moved to Derby County in May 2019, then onto Wigan in January 2022.

Given his experience and with his knowledge of the Club, manager Jim Goodwin is confident Shinnie will be a positive addition to the squad.

He said: “Graeme is a player who knows the Club well, he is aware of the level of expectation here and despite being away from Pittodrie for a few years he obviously still has close connections with the place and a number of the staff.

“He has great leadership qualities and will bring a wealth of experience to the squad.

“We look forward to working with him in the coming months.”

Goodwin's also brought in midfielder Patrik Myslovič from MSK Zilina initially on loan, with an option to buy in the summer.
