A small grocery store in Aberdeen has been held up at knifepoint.

A&C Smart on King Street was robbed at 5:30pm last night with over £100 taken from the till.

Nobody was hurt, and CCTV cameras picked up what happened.

The shop's owner, who chose not to be named, said: "The shop was busy, my staff thought he lifted something so after serving another customer he went and checked.

"The guy came back with him and when he was serving him he took out a knife and told him to give him all the money.

"It was a two minute incident.

"I'm worried about my staff, this is a busy street. We were so confident we wouldn't be robbed and that incident wouldn't happen, but we were wrong.

"We need to be extra careful."

The man is described as white, 5'10, slim build, aged 25-35 years old with light coloured facial hair.

He was wearing a dark jacket, dark beanie hat, dark trousers and shoes.
