Riverside Drive in Aberdeen has been shut to vehicles after the river Dee burst its banks.

The closure is between King George VI and Queen Elizabeth bridges (at Bon Accord Glass).

Earlier in the day motorists had been advised to move parked cars, with rising water levels expected.

Further coastal flooding warnings remain in some coast towns as villages such as Stonehaven and Peterhead.

As of yet there is not an expected time for the street to re-open to traffic.
