Aberdeen Muslims hand out free food

The city's Muslim community steps up to help those in tough times

Community group Aberdeen Muslims will be distributing hot food to the homeless and those hit by the North Sea downturn.

It's called Foodbox, and it comes on the back of a fundraising campaign with Aberdeen Cyrenians.

Organisers say they wanted to do something more long term and sustainable.

They'll be outside St Nicholas Centre between 6:30 and 7:30pm, and on the last Wednesday of every month.
