Two men charged in Aberdeen after police recover heroin and cocaine

The drugs had an estimated street value of £72,000

Two men have been arrested and charged in Aberdeen following a recovery of heroin and 'crack' cocaine.

An 18-year-old man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday 19 August, whilst a 50-year-old man is expected to appear in court at a later date.

Police found the drugs on Tuesday 12th of April in a property on Middlefield Crescent, Aberdeen.

They have an estimated street value of £72,000.

Detective Constable Lewis Ingram, from North East CID, said: “We’d like to thank the local community for their assistance which led to this intelligence-led recovery and subsequent charges.

“Our work often relies on the support of the public and together we can all make a difference to reduce these illegal substances from our streets.
