Aberdeen full-back Shay Logan pens new two-year deal
The 28-year-old has previously admitted he was considering a return to England in the summer to be closer to his family but has decided to extend his stay at Pittodrie.
Aberdeen have received a major boost with the news that right-back Shay Logan has signed a new two-year contract.
The 28-year-old has previously admitted he was considering a return to England in the summer to be closer to his family but has decided to extend his stay at Pittodrie.
Logan, who initially joined from Brentford on loan in January 2014, has made more than 100 appearances and been a key player in the team's improvement under Derek McInnes.
McInnes told the club's official website: "I was always confident we could try and get there and get a deal done. It is absolutely brilliant news.
"Shay, since he came to the club two and a half years ago, has been very consistent with his performances and has become a firm favourite with everyone at the club including the supporters.
"I am sure they will be delighted with the news that he has committed himself to us.
"It has been well documented his situation is not the norm for most players but his love of the club has never been in question and we are delighted what Shay has given to us over the past two and a half years and delighted to have him for the foreseeable future."
