It looks like a major entertainment centre on Aberdeen's Esplanade has closed for good.

It's believed owners closed up early yesterday afternoon, telling neighbours it would be for good.

The firm is believed to be in financial difficulty.

Parents who've booked children's parties there have been told it's gone out business, and that they will get their deposits back in due course.

Geraldine Murray booked a party for her young son there, but wasn't told the firm were in trouble.

She said: "The first thing I felt was anger, I appreciate that may not have known the situation, however I would have thought that if the director was aware of this they should have just suspended all bookings and not even bothered taken any."

We're waiting to get an official annoucement from Boardwalk House of Fun.
