Watch : Aberdeen disabled rights campaigner blasts pedestrianisation plans
Accessibilty consultant's concern over City Council move
A campaigner for disabled rights says keeping Union Street pedestrianised is going to be devastating for people like him.
Hussein Patwa gave evidence to Aberdeen city councillors last week, before they decided to keep the stretch between Union Terrace and Market Street vehicle free.
He says this is going to make the Granite City a lot LESS accessible for disabled people.
Mr Patwa's also praising Aberdeen Councillor Marie Boulton's decision to quit as City Masterplan leader.
She stepped down from her role in the £150 million project after no councillor seconded her proposal to re-open Union Street to buses during a consultation period.
