Aberdeen complete second deadline day signing
Defender Angus MacDonald has signed a deal until the end of the season
Aberdeen have added a second deadline-day signing by bringing in 30-year-old defender Angus MacDonald from Swindon.
The former Reading, Torquay, Barnsley, Hull and Rotherham player has signed a contract until the end of the season.
Interim manager Barry Robson said: "Angus has played an abundance of games at a high level down south and brings with him a wealth of experience which I think will be hugely beneficial to us in the second part of the season.
"He's been captain at many of his clubs and I've no doubt his leadership will be invaluable."
He follows Ajax goalkeeper Jay Gorter in the foot at Pittdorie.
The 22-year-old made more than 40 appearances for Go Ahead Eagles before joining Ajax in the summer of 2021 and he arrives at Pittodrie on loan until the end of the season.
A Dons statement read: "Ajax have high hopes for the young keeper who arrives at Pittodrie to compete for the number one jersey with Joe Lewis and fellow Dutchman Kelle Roos once he is fit again."
