Aberdeen's spectacular beach fireworks display is returning this year for the first time since 2019.

The event is typically attended by more than 10,000 people.

Organised by Aberdeen City Council and hosted by Northsound 1’s Jeff and Lauren in the Morning, it will include fire jugglers and a charity firewalk, provided by Inspire, from 7pm, with the main fireworks display at 8pm.

The display is created by Fireworx Scotland with this year's theme 'music through the decades'.

Aberdeen City Council Co-leader, Councillor Alex Nicoll, said: "We are keenly anticipating the return of the fireworks display at the Beach Boulevard this year.

"The event has proven extremely popular with families and people of all generations over the years and it will be exciting for the public to experience the fantastic display that Fireworx Scotland have put together."

People are advised they should not bring alcohol, fireworks, or sparklers to the display.

Aberdeen City Council are also asking that people do not bring large bags with them to the event and note that bag searches will be taking place on arrival.
