Aberdeen Art Gallery over £9million short of redevelopment funding
The transformation is set to cost £30million with a third of that coming from public fundraising.
Aberdeen City Council has asked the people of the North East to invest in the city's art gallery.
The transformation is set to cost £30million with a third of that coming from public fundraising.
So far, £600,000 of the £10million target has been raised.
City Council leader Jenny Laing says they want people to invest in its future.
Cllr Laing said: "What we need top do now is we need to encourage people whether it be small donations or indeed companies to come forward and have a stake in the gallery.
"This will be a legacy for generations to come in the city.
"We're encouraging people to be a part of that.
"We want it to be "the people's gallery""
