Three men arrested at Aberdeen airport as £1m worth of drugs seized
They're thought to have travelled to the UK from Bangkok, Thailand.
Three men have been arrested after £1m worth of drugs were seized at Aberdeen airport.
The men aged 25, 25 and 19 were arrested at Aberdeen Airport by National Crime Agency officers in relation to the discovery of 150kg of cannabis.
They're thought to have travelled to the UK from Bangkok, Thailand via Doha, Qatar before flying from London Heathrow Airport to Aberdeen.
The three men have not been charged with any offence and have been released on an undertaking to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in January.
Drugs seized
NCA spokesperson: “On Friday, 20 December 2024, three men aged 25, 25 and 19 were arrested at Aberdeen Airport by National Crime Agency officers, supported by Border Force.
"The arrests were in relation to the seizure of around 150 kilos of drugs, believed to be cannabis.
The men were released on an undertaking to attend Aberdeen Sheriff Court on 16 January 2025. Enquiries are continuing.”
