A96 closed near Huntly after pedestrian hit by car

A section of the A96 has been closed in both directions after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Emergency services were called to Colpy, just south of Huntly, at around 7.15am on Friday.

Crews remain on scene and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

A police spokesperson said: "The A96 is closed at Colpy following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian which happened around 7.15am on Friday, 21 February, 2025.

"Officers are at the scene and drivers are urged to use an alternative route."
