Pedestrian in hospital after collision involving bus at Toll of Birness

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a bus in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services closed off the A90 exit slip road at Toll of Birness this afternoon while they dealt with the incident.

Police said the pedestrian, a 45-year-old man, had exited a lorry on the A952.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Police have now reopened the road following investigation work and enquiries remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.10pm on Tuesday, 8 October, 2024, we received a report of a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian who had exited a lorry on the A952 at the A90, Toll of Birness.

"The 45-year-old male pedestrian has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

"The road has re-opened and enquiries are ongoing."
