The A9 has been reopened in two places after a number of people were involved in crashes on the road.
Aviemore
A woman was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a serious condition after a collision between a car, a lorry, and a bus around 6.40pm on Saturday.
The incident happened on the A9 between the Granish Junction at Aviemore and Tomatin.
A male passenger in the car is in stable condition at Raigmore Hospital, while the male driver and a child passenger were taken there by ambulance to be checked over.
Enquiries into the collision are still ongoing, and police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 3223 of Friday 26 July 2024.
Dornoch
Meanwhile north of Inverness at the B9168 junction to Dornoch, a man has been charged with road traffic offences following a collision between two cars and a motorcycle.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 3.15pm on Friday and the male rider of the motorbike was taken by air ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
