8 Year Old Killed In Portsoy Crash Named

Police have confirmed the name of the eight year old boy who died following a road traffic collision in Portsoy on Thursday is Iain Sturrock who was from the local area.

Police were informed of the collision shortly before 5pm which also involved a white Citroen Berlingo.

The family of Iain have released the following statement:

"Iain was a loving little boy who lived for swimming, karate and going to Cubs.

"We are in shock and are absolutely devastated that he has been taken from us and request privacy while we come to terms with what has happened."
