5 Stolen Motorbikes Found In Aberdeen
5 stolen motorcycles have been found by police in Aberdeen.
Police in Aberdeen have recovered 5 stolen bikes as part of a crackdown on motorcycle crime.
The vehicles worth around 10 thousand pounds were all found in the city on Tuesday.
Operation Trinity aims to target motorcycle crime including individuals who cause a nuisance in their communities often riding illegally or in a dangerous way.
The bikes recovered include a KTM stolen from the Queen's Crescent area of Aberdeen on 17 June, a Honda Moped stolen from Raeden Place on 15 June, a Suzuki bike stolen from Woodend Road on 23 June, a Kawasaki bike stolen from the Cults area on 6 July and a Atrila motorcycle stolen from the King Street area on 16 June.
The bikes were all recovered on Tuesday 21st of July.
Enquiries into the thefts are ongoing.
Sergeant Ian Doherty from Operation Trinity thanked the public for their continued assistance and said: "We rely on the public being our eyes and our ears and the recovery of these high value motorcycles further demonstrates our ability to act on information received.
"The recovery of these machines means a great deal to their owners and we will continue to robustly pursue all available lines of enquiry to identify those responsible for these crimes and put them before the Courts. I would urge anyone with any information regarding motorcycle related crime to contact Police by calling 101 or by speaking to their local Community Policing Team Officers.
"Members of the public can help us by ensuring their vehicles and properties are locked and remaining vigilant. Any suspicious behaviour should be reported to the police."
