400 homes in Aboyne have been left without power due to gale-force winds hitting the Grampian area.
400 homes have been left without power in the Aboyne area this afternoon as gale-force winds continue the area.
Winds of up to 75mph have hit the Grampian area - and The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind and rain in the Grampian area, which lasts until the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Just after 3pm today, 400 homes in Aboyne were cut off from power. SSE engineers rushed out to the scene, and worked until it was restored to the majority of houses at 4:15pm.
However, 40 homes still remain without power and SSE say it may take until 7pm tonight for the issue to be resolved.
