We could see Covid vaccinations available on a 24 hour basis by March, according to Health Secretary Jeane Freeman.
At today's Vaccination briefing in Holyrood the Health Sec was setting out details of Scotland's mass vaccination scheme.
This included naming some of the centres which will host vaccine administration.
Some of these sites include TECA in Aberdeen and Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
Labour MSP Monica Lennon questioned Freeman about when 24 hour vaccination centres could be open.
The Health Secretary said:
"Once we have the mass sites open and running we can go to 24 hours - obviously that's not something that's possible in a GP practice."
"As we move towards those(mass testing sites), which I would anticipate - many are secured already - but in terms of the volume of people and the groups we want to put through there, for whom that is convenient, that would be end of February, start of March."
"If that is going to work in terms of the volume, then 24 hours is the right way to go."
"There is no will to not do that, the will is to do that."
