150 lobsters worth £1,300 stolen from Fife docks
The haul was taken during the early hours of Monday.
An investigation's been launched after 150 LOBSTERS were stolen from Methil Docks in Fife.
The fishy haul - thought to be worth around £1,300 - was stolen between 1am and 5am on Monday 22nd of August.
The shellfish are said to have been in a sealed container, which was partly in the water.
Sergeant Craig Fyall of Levenmouth Police Station said: "This might seem like a comical incident, but this is a fisherman's livelihood.
"It's likely the lobsters were handpicked from the container, so it would've been noticable if anyone left the docks with that amount.
"If anyone remembers seeing anything suspicious or has any relevant information please contact police."
