!Things to do 1. You have a Pinterest board called 'dream holidays'

Nothing says more about a person's hopes, dreams and general mental state than their Pinterest account. Wedding inspiration – hoping for a proposal? Our house – planning to decorate? Yummy food – hoping to become the next Mary Berry? This or they’re on a diet and this is the closest they can come to a cake! The well-tended 'dream holidays' board is probably a sign that the owner would like very much to swap dreams for reality - at the earliest opportunity possible.

!Getaways 2. Dust

Ahh the British summer time, it tries so hard but often falls around 10 degrees colder than necessary to dig out those maxi dresses and shorts - leaving them gathering dust.

We have a 'summer drawer', doesn't everyone?

Don't let another year go by without at least one chance to wear it's contents - Hawaiian shirt is optional!

!Food & Drink 3. Holiday allowance

Despite the clue being in the name your holiday allowance is there for a reason, and if you don't use it, you could lose it and that would be awful!

Whether it’s a week away or a mini break somewhere over a long weekend, make the most of your precious holidays. You’ve earned them!

!Health & Beauty 4. You've got a tropical beach as your computer background

Also relevant are safari animals, tropical fish, a picture of a sunrise or sunset, a famous landmark i.e. Eiffel Tower

Stock photo or a previous holiday pic, it makes no difference - wouldn't you like to swap pixels for reality?

!Goodies 5. Your tan rivals those seen on Towie

Lotion, mousse, spray tan and even the new shower on tan, you’ve got it all and have tried it all to achieve that sun kissed glow. Unfortunately nothing quite compares to a natural tan.

There really is no better skin therapy as well as being good for your mood than a week or two in sunnier climes.

!Goodies 6. Your passport photo resembles someone you used to know

10 years with the exception of changing your name is a long time. Is your passport valid? Where is your passport?

If your last holiday took place years, you may need to ask yourself these questions, and if you have to check then we can tell you it’s been far too long!

!Goodies 7. You're known as ‘the one who will be in’ in your office

Taking few holiday could work wonders for your career, but it may also result in your being relied upon too heavily by others, who quite reasonably expect you to cover for them whilst they jet off somewhere.

Wouldn’t it be nice to turn the tables – for three days? A week? Three weeks?!

!Goodies 8. Facebook

Social media can be a terrible place for those with a touch of the green-eyed monster – that ‘hide this’ comes in handy in moments.

If your regularly find yourself skimming past albums of hot dog legs and synchronised jumping, now is definitely the time to start hatching your own holiday plans.

!Goodies 9. Darkness

Everyone at some point throughout winter will feel a bit down – winter is dark, rainy, cold and what's more is living in the UK you never know when the gloominess will end!

The cure? Light exposure – this could be sitting beside a lamp or a few weeks on a beach, given the choice we know which one we’d choose.

!Goodies 10. Been there, done that

No matter how much you fill your weekend with visits to friends & family, titivating your home and garden or visits to your local pub, there's a yearning for something new, something exciting, something unknown?

A holiday, no matter how short allows you to discover new cultures, cuisines, languages and more, and it's almost impossible to go away without learning something new about the world and your place within it.
