Every week through the summer we’re featuring five local events, perfect to for the family.
ELLON PEDAL CAR RACE
The annual fun day returns to Ellon this Sunday with teams competing in pedal car races through the town.
The biggest soapbox racing event in the area, teams of all ages will compete in races using their homemade makeshift pedal cars.
The competition is sure to be fierce!
Loads to see and do away from the racing with stalls, crafts, local food and drink at the Market Street car park area.

CRIMMOND RACEWAY FAMILY DAY
Crimmond Raceway are holding a family fun day this Saturday.
The racing includes the first ever ‘Crash for Kids’ charity race where our very own Jeff will be taking to the track to help raise money for Cash for Kids.
Plenty for the family with action on track from 12.30pm – plus food and drink vans, bouncy castles, and face painting.
Saturday, 19th August from 10am, Crimmond Raceway.

DUTHIE PARK OPEN DAY
The annual Duthie Park Open Day takes place this Sunday, 20th August.
Organised by the Friends of Duthie Park, the family fun day is packed with entertainment for all ages.
Entertainment includes the Newtonhill Pipeband, Ythan Fiddlers, and Wrestlezone! Stalls, food and drink plus the Gaming Experience Aberdeen will be at the park.
Sunday, 20th August with the starting just before midday until 4pm, Duthie Park.
TEDDY BEARS PICNIC
Round of the School holidays by taking the young ones to the Teddy Bears Picnic at Haddow House!
They’re encouraging children to take along their favourite teddy and enjoy a picnic in the grounds of Haddow House. The fun includes a teddy bear hunt, storytelling, and a singalong too.
Friday, 18th August, 11am at Haddow House.

LLOYD PATERSON TROPHY CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH
CBC Hilton and Northstar City will be taking to the pitch at New Advocates Park on Sunday to battle it out in the first Lloyd Paterson Trophy Final.
Gates open at noon with plenty to see and do before kick-off. Bouncy castle, face painting, and beat the goalie plus food and drink stalls.
