Piers Morgan announces return to ITV tonight
He quit his role on Good Morning Britain last week
Just one week after sensationally quitting his role on Good Morning Britain, following the fallout from THAT Meghan Markle and Prince Harry interview with Oprah Winfrey, Piers Morgan is back on our TV screens tonight.
The controversial host has announced a brand new episode of Piers Morgan's Life Stories will air on ITV tonight (Thursday 18th March), featuring Loose Women star Coleen Nolan.
Piers wrote on Twitter, 'Reports of my ITV demise have been greatly exaggerated.... I’m back already. @NolanColeen' (sic)
After a disagreement with his co-star Alex Beresford regarding Meghan Markle's claims during her interview with Oprah, 55-year-old Piers made the decision to leave his presenting role on Good Morning Britain.
Releasing a statement to announce the news, ITV said, "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."
Piers was quick to break his silence on the matter, taking to his social media accounts to write, 'On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, that’s OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions.' (sic)
Meanwhile, Piers will be joined by Loose Women panellist and former The Nolans singer Coleen Nolan on tonight's episode of Life Stories.
Just like his interviews with the likes of Gemma Collins and Sir Captain Tom Moore, Piers will take a look back at Coleen's amazing career, where she opens up in a 'raw and emotional interview'.
In an emotional clip, Coleen also talks about the cancer 'curse' which has devastated her family, and confirms she is considering a mastectomy.
Piers Morgan's Life Stories with Coleen Nolan will air at 9pm on Thursday 18th March on ITV.
