A new Netflix documentary which delves into the life of Avicii DJ, Tim Bergling, is set to be released later this month. Avicii - I’m Tim will land on Netflix on 31st December – and will tell the story of the ‘shy and insecure boy’ who became one of the world’s most loved artists, before his tragic death aged just 28.

The documentary will be accompanied by Avicii - My Last Show, a 30-minute episode which will premiere the Swedish DJ’s last show from Ibiza's Ushuaïa. Avicii - I'm Tim premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, in June 2024 - and on 12th December, Netflix dropped a trailer...

‘Through unique home movies and a huge private archive, we get to follow Tim on a winding journey through life – from the very first breath at the maternity ward in Stockholm in 1989 to the tragic end in Oman in 2018,’ said Netflix. ‘This is a film where Tim himself is the narrator and he shares his inner self in a way we haven't heard before. Through himself and everyone close to him - family, artist colleagues and best friends – we get to know Tim – the boy behind Avicii – for the first time.’

The documentary, which is directed by Henrik Burman and produced by Björn Tjärnberg, will be available to stream on Netflix on Tuesday 31st December 2024.
