As Ant McPartlin gets back into the swing of his day job, Channel 5 are set to chronicle his recent struggles in a brand new documentary. Filming for the doc has already commenced, with stars such as Peter Andre confirming they’ll be featured on film talking about the rocky patch.

“I can’t give too much away because I don’t know what will make the final cut,” wrote Peter in his weekly column for New! magazine, “but it’s basically about the pressures of the industry and the trials and tribulations facing Ant following his drink-driving arrest and rehab stint."

Meanwhile, an official spokesperson for Channel 5 added, “This film offers insight on how Ant’s world collapsed around him and how it feels to have your personal problems played out in front of the nation.

"With Ant’s comeback due to officially go public with the next series of Britain’s Got Talent, the documentary hears from celebrities with similar experiences in the media spotlight and asks if Ant can successfully complete his recovery, reclaim and keep his place in one of the most successful TV partnerships of all time."

Speaking of his new girlfriend Anne Marie Corbett, who worked as PA to Ant and his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong for many years before they became a couple, Ant said, “She’s been my rock. She’s a beautiful soul. We’re very happy.”

“I’m in the best place I’ve been in my life, to be honest with you. It’s great."

Ant is set to present this year's series of Britain's Got Talent (starting 6th April) as well as I'm A Celebrity, with best pal and co-host Declan Donnelly.
