All you need to know about Tate McRae's song 'What Would You Do?'

Tate McRae's hotly anticipated debut album 'I Used To Think I Could Fly' has now been released, but that didn't stop the singer releasing several songs before its release.

Taking to Instagram, Tate shared a series of photos, including one of herself wearing a black top and pink, satin gloves, telling her fans, 'hey should i drop a song this week' (sic)

Fans were quick to comment on the photo, with one saying: 'AT LEAST ONE SONG BEFORE THE ALBUM DROPS' (sic), and another writing: 'yes yess!! stop asking just do it!!! we want ALL THE SONGS!!' (sic)

Tate has also taken to TikTok to share a snippet of her song 'What Would You Do?', lip-syncing to it, with the words on screen reading: 'I kinda wanna drop this song this week or something 🤔', meaning this could very well be her next release.

'What Would You Do?' is out now and Tate has shared the audio on her YouTube channel, you can have a listen below...

Tate has released three other songs from her album, 'Feel Like S--t', 'She's All I Wanna Be' and 'Chaotic'. The album is out now, and has an alternative artwork version only available in the UK.

On 11th April, Tate shared her track list, which included 13 songs, however she left track one's name as just a question mark, leaving fans wondering what it could be.

Tate is currently on tour starting in the UK on 12th June with dates in Manchester, Birmingham, London and Glasgow. You can buy tickets to see Tate from Aloud.com

2016: So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation

At the age of just 13, Tate McRae became the first Canadian finalist on the American TV show So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation.


The programme, hosted by Cat Deeley, saw children aged eight to 13 compete to win the show.
Tate ended up in third place, mentored by American actress and dancer Kathryn McCormick (pictured left), dancing Contemporary/Ballet.

2019: 'one day' video goes viral

Back in 2019, Tate uploaded a video on YouTube which went viral. The video was for her song 'one day' and has now had more than 38 million views.
The success of this video got Tate's talent noticed and she released her debut EP a year later called 'All the Things I Never Said'.

2020: Tate McRae released 'All the Things I Never Said'

Tate released 'All the Things I Never Said', her debut EP which included 'Tear Myself Apart' which was co-written by Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell.

2020: Tate McRae included in Forbes' 30 Under 30

Forbes' 30 Under 30 included Tate in 2020, making her the youngest musician to ever be included in the list.
Forbes' 30 Under 30 is a list compiled by Forbes of the world's most successful entrepreneurs under the age of 30.

2020: Tate McRae released 'You Broke Me First'

Tate McRae released 'You Broke Me First' in 2020. It was the lead single from her second EP, 'Too Young to Be Sad'.
The song was hugely popular and an international hit for the singer, reaching Number 3 in the UK and amassing 142 million views on YouTube as well as over a million views on TikTok.

2021: Tate McRae released 'Too Young to Be Sad'

Tate's second EP, 'Too Young to Be Sad', was released in 2021 and became an immediate hit making it the most streamed female EP of 2021. The EP included six songs co-written by Tate.

2022: Tate McRae released 'she’s all i wanna be'

This alternative-pop track showcases Tate's songwriting skills as she worked for the first time with Grammy Award-winner songwriter/producer Greg Kurstin, who has also worked with Sia, Kelly Clarkson, Halsey, Maren Morris, Paul McCartney, Pink, and Lily Allen.

2022: Tate McRae releases 'chaotic' and gives debut album release date

Tate dropped her song 'chaotic' on 25th March 2022 along with a visualiser video showing her stuck on a burning plane. The fiery theme continued as she posted a photo of herself posing on a burning plane wing with the exciting announcement that her album 'I used to think I could fly' would be released on 27th May 2022.

2022: Tate McRae's UK tour

Tate McRae announced she was be going on tour and would be coming to the UK.
She started her UK Tour on 12th June 2022 in Manchester, continuing on to Birmingham, London and Glasgow. Tate was also due to join Shawn Mendes on tour as a special guest on his 'Wonder: The World Tour', but Shawn unfortunately had to cancel the tour.

2023: Tate McRae announces her second album 'Think Later'

Tate McRae announced her second album 'Think Later' will be released on 8th December 2023. The album features her current single 'Greedy' and Tate told us that the album was "vastly different. The attitude and the vibe of the album is like the complete opposite side of my personality (from) my last album, which is very exciting to play with and write. You can hear that in the songs like I definitely show a side of me, that's a bit more savage out there."

2023: Tate McRae announced her 'Think Later' world tour

In support of her second album 'Think Later', Tate announced a world tour which started in April 2024. The singer performed at several venues across the UK before moving on to Europe and the rest of the world.

2024: Tate McRae performed at The BRIT Awards 2024

Tate McRae performed at The BRIT Awards 2024, where her song 'greedy' was also nominated for International Song of The Year.
