Forbes Magazine publishes its annual posthumous rich list
Over four years on from his untimely death, Michael Jackson is continuing to earn lots of money from the grave.
The King of Pop is estimated to have raked in a massive $160million (£99million) over the past 12 months making him number one on Forbes Magazine’s annual Top-Earning Dead Celebrities countdown.
Amazingly, that figure surpasses the top earning living celebrity, Madonna, who is thought to have earned $125million between 2012 and 2013.
Michael Jackson continues to earn mega bucks due his music and his stake in the Sony/ATV back catalogue.
Most of his posthumous money is believed to have come from the Cirque Du Soleil’s two productions - Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour and the recently launched Michael Jackson: One.
