Madonna Aiming To Release 13th Album in 2015
She’s been hard at work with American producer Diplo
Madonna’s representatives have confirmed she is aiming to release her 13th studio album next year.
Over the past few months, the pop icon has shared a series of photos from the recording studio on Instagram often featuring American super producer Diplo – aka Thomas Wesley Pentz.
A rep has now told Billboard that Madonna is eyeing up a 2015 release date for the follow-up to ‘MDNA’, which was met with a mixed reaction back in 2012.
Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary added: “She's currently in the studio with Diplo and having a lot of fun.”
It’s currently unclear whether Diplo is lead producer on the album, but it’s highly likely he’s heavily involved in the project.
Speaking to Billboard last month, Diplo said of working with Madonna: "I got really lucky because she's been really understanding and open to my ideas. And she's like, 'I hate sleeping…'"
One of the best selling recording artists of all time, Madonna has sold over 300million albums worldwide since the release of her self-titled debut in July 1983.
