He's kept his fans waiting, but it was certainly worth it as former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has just dropped his brand new single 'Two Of Us'.

Louis, who has been teasing the new track for the last few weeks, took to his socials to officially confirm the release, with fans immediately LOVING it!

One user wrote, 'ITS SO GOOD YOU REALLY DID THAT KING', with another writing, 'SO PROUD!'. A third then wrote, 'IM SO PROUD OF YOU WORDS CANT DESCRIBE IT'. sic

According to recent reports, Louis' new track is in tribute to his late mum Johannah Deakin, who sadly passed away at the age of just 42 in 2016. Johannah left behind seven children, including Louis, at the end of 2016, when she lost her battle with an aggressive form of leukaemia.

'Two Of Us' is the first music to be released from Louis in months, following his successful stint as a judge on last year's The X Factor.

One Direction auditioning on The X Factor

One Direction formed on The X Factor in 2010. All five members auditioned as individual contestants and were put together as a group by Simon Cowell.

Since the One Direction boys started their hiatus in 2016, Louis was the last member of the group to release any solo material. Following in the footsteps of his band mates, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, Louis dropped hits like 'Just Hold On', 'Miss You' and 'Back To You' featuring Bebe Rexha.

We love his new single! 🙌
