Superstar DJ Calvin Harris seems unstoppable this year. Not only have we seen him team up with BRIT Award winner Dua Lipa on the massive hit 'One Kiss', Calvin Harris has now announced a new collaboration with singer Sam Smith, and it's coming VERY soon!

Calvin Harris took to his socials to announce the new collab, posting a photo of the Japanese inspired artwork showing the song title to be 'Promises' with the caption, 'CALVIN HARRIS // SAM SMITH // very excited about this one !!! @samsmithworld coming Friday presave link in bio'.

The announcement has been greeted by a number of very excited comments from fans saying, 'CAN'T WAIT!!đź’—', 'Interesting đź‘Ś' and 'IM SO EXCITED'. sic

Sam Smith also took to his socials to confirm the collab with the same artwork saying, 'Surprise!!!! I’m so excited for you all to hear this song.'

'Promises' is the follow-up to Calvin's 'One Kiss' with Dua Lipa which reached a major milestone earlier this year. Taking to Twitter to reveal the exciting news, Calvin said, 'One Kiss @DUALIPA is the biggest song in the world rn number 1 global iTunes, Apple Music & Spotify thank you so much !!!!!!' sic

'One Kiss' was released back in April and has enjoyed a number of weeks at the top spot, giving Calvin his ninth Number 1 and Dua's second Number 1.

Calvin revealed in a recent interview who his musical inspirations were. At the beginning of his journey to becoming one of the highest paid DJs in the world, one of Calvin's inspirations was actually the rock band Nirvana, known in the 90s for their hits such as 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and 'Heart-Shaped Box'. At the age of eight Calvin picked up a guitar and learnt the baseline to their 1992 hit 'Lithium'.

Starting out in 2007 with his debut album 'I Created Disco', Calvin Harris, real name Adam Wiles, soon became one of the most popular DJs and producers around, with hits such as, 'Sweet Nothing', 'Summer' and last year 'Feels'.
