Will Young ‘punished’ by Strictly bosses for quitting the show
Reports suggest Will’s fee has been cut
Viewers of Strictly Come Dancing were left in shock earlier in the week when Will Young sensationally quit the show citing ‘personal reasons’. Now it is being reported that show bosses are set to ‘punish’ the singer for leaving early.
According to reports, Strictly Come Dancing producers are going to cut Will’s appearance fee from £25,000 to just £5,000 after he quit just three weeks into the show.

The ‘Leave Right Now’ singer announced the news he was leaving the show on Tuesday 11th October when he released the following statement:
"To be a part of Strictly has been a long-time ambition of mine. As a performer, a viewer, and a fan of the show, to dance as a contestant was an experience I always hoped for.
"I have made some great friends, and am in awe of their performances week in, week out. I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience.
"Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television."
Many fans were left wondering why Will left the show, with some reports suggesting he left due to competition with his fellow Strictly stars.
After his decision to leave, viewers of the show urged bosses to bring back eliminated EastEnders actress Tameka Emspon. Tameka lost her place on the show last weekend when Laura Whitmore beat her in the dance-off.
Upon hearing Will’s news, fans of Tameka started the hashtag ‘#BringBackTameka’ on Twitter. Despite their attempts, Strictly bosses have decided Will won’t be getting replaced and the show will continue as normal.

A spokesperson for the show said, "The series will continue as planned with an elimination every week until the grand final. The previous eliminated contestants will not be returning to the competition.”
Since his departure, Will is yet to break his silence further on his decision to leave and has stayed quiet on his social media pages.
The show continues at the weekend.
