Will Smith has been speaking about playing a real life figure in his new film Concussion.

The movie is based on a true story which follows the actor, who plays a forensic pathologist, trying to raise awareness about the dangers of sport related head injuries.

It's after he discovers that neurological deterioration is a pattern in athletes.

Speaking to our entertainment reporter Jo Parkerson Will Smith says as a former NFL fan it was a difficult part to play.

"It was a conflict for me to take this film. There was a part of me that just didn't want to be the guy who said this."
