Wayne Rooney pays touching tribute to young boys who died in Buncrana tragedy

Footballer Wayne Rooney has paid a touching tribute to the two young children who tragically died in the Buncrana Pier incident.
Eight-year-old Evan and 12 -year-old Mark McGrotty lost their lives after the car they were travelling in with their family plunged into the water at the pier in County Donegal, Northern Ireland.
Now, the Manchester United striker, who has three young boys of his own with wife Coleen, has made a touching tribute on his Twitter account to pay his respects.
The 30-year-old told fans his 'prayers are with the family' in the touching tweet.
The England star’s tweet comes after Good Morning Britain presenter, Susanna Reid, teared up live on air as she spoke with the hero who saved the life of a baby girl in the tragedy.
Davitt Walsh, who was out on the pier with his girlfriend, immediately took off his clothes, swam to them and risked his life to save the family.

Flowers were left at the scene at Buncrana Pier in Co Donegal.

A funeral service for the five victims is set to take place at Holy Family parish church in Ballymagroarty on Thursday (23rd March) afternoon.
