Rylan admits The X Factor isn’t 'fixed' despite ‘convenient’ jukebox decision

Rylan's revealed the secret behind the jukebox

X Factor bosses were under more scrutiny at the weekend when the random jukebox generator landed on ‘Fright Night’ conveniently just in time for Halloween, leaving viewers branding the show a ‘fix’.

Every weekend host Dermot O’Leary spins the wheel to decide what the theme will be for the next show but it seems it was all too obvious last weekend! When it landed on ‘Fright Night’ angry viewers took to Twitter to express their opinion.

Now, The Xtra Factor host Rylan Clark-Neal has defended the show and claimed he can ‘confirm’ it’s not a fiddle. When Holly Willoughby revealed her thoughts, Rylan said, "I can confirm this. As much as I'm the first one to say, 'ah, it's a fiddle' like other shows, it was not fixed whatsoever. The director was standing at the side of the stage. That jukebox is pretty much an empty shell with a genuine tombola wheel."

He then added, "When Dermot span it, we were all standing there. I had the executive producer of the show a metre away from me trying to blow it so it didn't, cause obviously everyone is now up in arms, saying it was fix."

The loveable presenter even added that he thinks the jukebox is ‘pretty tacky’ as it’s just an empty shell. (Don’t let Simon hear you say that!)

Meanwhile it seems we could be seeing a lot more of the 28-year-old. Rylan today revealed he will be up for presenting the popular X Factor spin-off show next year again.

He has revealed he loves presenting the show alongside Matt Edmondson but did admit they both only signed up for an initial one year due to other commitments. He said, "We’ve both been looking at this as just a one season thing so wanted to enjoy it and take it for what it is and if we are going to go out we want to go out on a high.”

Since finding fame on The X Factor back in 2012, Rylan’s TV career has taken off, appearing on shows such as This Morning, Celebrity Big Brother and now The Xtra Factor.

Who can forget this hilarious moment on The X Factor?

Despite all of its controversy, The X Factor returns for ‘Fright Night’ on Saturday 29th October.
