Rita Ora shares unseen wedding day photos and footage 👰♀️
It's their first anniversary
'Praising You' singer Rita Ora tied the knot with her beau Taika Waititi last summer, and to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, the pair have released some unseen photos from their special day, along with a new music video featuring footage of their special day.
The couple, who first met back in 2018, had a low-key wedding in Los Angeles in August 2022, two weeks after Rita popped the question to her future husband. Now, the couple have shared some of the unseen pics with Vogue as they celebrate a year of marriage.
Taking to Instagram, they've shared several photos showing Rita's gorgeous long white dress, as the couple are photographed with the famous Hollywood sign in the background.
Scrolling through the series of photos, there's also one showing the couple's wedding cake, Rita in another gorgeous white dress and the pair doing their best Elvis impressions.
In the interview with Vogue magazine, Taika revealed how Rita popped the question to him, while they were on holiday in Palm Springs, saying: "She proposed to me, and I said 'yes' instantly." The pair then tied the knot just two weeks later on the 4th August in Los Angeles, surrounded by a small group of friends and family, with parents over Zoom.
"It was really us and my sister Elena," Rita explained: "Elena to the rescue!"
Rita has now revealed some more footage from their special day, with a new music video for her song 'You & I'. The song is featured on her new album of the same name, and the video shows moments from their special day, including putting her veil on, walking down the aisle towards Taika and the couple having their first kiss as a married couple.
Rita previously told us that she wrote a song on her album the day after her wedding when she had a hangover! "I wrote one the day after I got married," she explained. "Like really hungover and it was like nothing was going to come out of my mouth, I felt like it was like... You know when you're hungover and you feel like you're going to die, it was like that!
"And I basically came out with this ideal wedding song, which I felt was really funny, and then it actually turned out really good and I was really proud of myself that I was productive on that day of hell."
Rita's album 'You & I' is out now and features her songs 'Praising You' and 'You Only Love Me'.
