It's been an amazing 30 years since Fireman Sam first appeared on our screens, and it is still massively popular today as it was back then. It can even add Royalty to its list of fans as it is apparently Prince George's favourite TV show.
To celebrate the show's 30th anniversary it has been announced that a character based on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's oldest child will be introduced to the series early next year.
The character will appear in an one-off special called The Prince in Pontypandy and will feature "a certain little Royal fan" alongside the original characters.
Although not a huge amount is known about the special episode, what is known is that a four-year-old Royal will visit the fictional town in South Wales where Fireman Sam is set, as part of a state visit. When calamity strikes, he'll be forced to save the day with a helicopter!
Whilst Prince George is not actually identified in the storyline producers have confirmed that the character is based on the young Royal, who is Queen Elizabeth's great-grandson.
The Prince in Pontypandy episode is expected to be aired in early 2018 in the UK, with other areas getting it shortly after.
Back in September this year Prince George had his first day at Thomas's Battersea in London and his dad Prince William was seen taking his son to school. Unfortunately for Prince George his mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, was unable to attend his first day at school, due to extreme morning sickness.
The Duke and Duchess were forced to announce they were expecting their third baby earlier than expected when she felt unwell and had to pull out of a public engagement.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who already have four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte, are just some of the many celebrities who are expecting at the moment.
