Jennifer Lawrence to earn $20million for new film
JLaw set to earn $8million more than male co-star Chris Pratt
Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly set to net a cool $20 million for her role in upcoming movie Passengers. That's $8million more than her male co-star Chris Pratt.
The Oscar winning actress, who was propelled to fame playing Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, is also in line to scoop 30% of profits when the film breaks even.
Reports claim that Chris Pratt's success in Jurassic World and rise in popularity has increased his initial fee by $2 million from $10 million.
Budget issues almost shut down the sci-fi film with Sony motion picture Chairman Tom Rothman wanting to slash the budget by $60million.
Some are calling her current deal with Sony Pictures a step forward for the equal pay movement, a plus for Sony who were revealed to have paid Jennifer much less than her American Hustle co-stars when details were leaked in the Sony hack.
