Our Favourite Great British Bake Off moments!
Celebrating Mary Berry's birthday
To celebrate Mary Berry's 81st Birthday on Thursday 24th March 2016 we've taken a look back at our favourite Great British Bake Off moments...
- Back in 2014 construction engineer Iain Watters had a disaster when Diana Beard took his Baked Alaska out of the freezer on a very hot summer's day. As expected, Iain had a meltdown and threw his ruined creation into the bin! Watch the moment again here...
- When The GBBO first aired in 2010 Mary Berry looked at lot different to what she does now and has become a fashion icon! In series 3 she wore a floral bomber jacket from Zara which prompted a a flurry of people going out to buy the same one!
- Possibly one of our favourite duos on the television Mellow Magic presenter Mel and Sue! They really make us laugh with their innuendoes and of course when they decide to sample some of the contestants creations. Watch the moment Mel decided to nick someone's chocolate mousse!
- During GBBO we've seen our fair share of drops, falls and collapses but this has to be one of our favourites. In series 3 Cathryn was trying a new technique with her dough and literally threw it across the room! Watch the hilarious moment here...
- Finally, the tear-jerking moment when Nadiya Hussain won the show in 2015. After Sue announced she had taken the title she told viewers "I am never ever going to put boundaries on myself ever again". Her lovely speech even saw Mary Berry shed a tear. Watch the lovely moment here...
Earlier this year at the National Television Awards we spoke to Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood after winning the 'Most Popular Challenge show' award. They told us about Great British Bake Off plans for this year and Gogglebox!
