Earlier this week lovable singer Ed Sheeran was involved in an incident in London when he was reportedly 'hit by a car' and knocked off his bicycle.

After updating fans just hours after he left the hospital, Ed has now taken to his Instagram page for a second time to let his fans know the full extent of his injuries.

The 'Shape Of You' singer also revealed he has been forced to postpone some of his upcoming shows across the globe.

The message read, 'A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future. Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details. PS - Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged.' sic

Ed is currently on a break from his mammoth tour but was due to perform in Taipei on the 22nd October, before moving on to shows in Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Before knowing the full damage his injuries had caused, Ed shared a photo of his right arm in a cast and his left arm in a small sling on Monday afternoon and told fans some of his shows may be affected.

He wrote, 'Ive had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x' sic
