Celebrity Big Brother: Stephanie Davis' boyfriend denies he has dumped her
He wants to speak to her face-to-face
The boyfriend of Celebrity Big Brother contestant Stephanie Davis has released a statement saying he HASN’T dumped her.
As previously reported, while footage of Stephanie snuggling up with housemate Jeremy McConnell aired on CBB last night, her beau Sam Reece took to Twitter to announce he is distancing himself from the sacked Hollyoaks actress.
In a post that has been retweeted 17,000 times, model Sam wrote: “Hi everyone, I will no longer be supporting Stephanie Davis... Thanks for all your support and love you have given me!!”
While the media and viewers took his statement as meaning he had turned his back on his girlfriend, this afternoon Sam tweeted that he hasn’t dumped her. Read his comments here:
Later on in a separate post, Sam added: “I would never end a relationship over text or social media. I want to talk to Steph face to face.”
As you can see from these comments, Sam has faced a backlash from many Twitter users.
Last night’s show saw Stephanie break down in tears in the diary room after kissing Jeremy. She told Big Brother: “I want Sam.
“I love him and so much and I just want to see him. I just don’t want Sam to be mugged off on the outside because I know Jeremy likes us, but he’s my best friend in here and I couldn’t be without him and we have a laugh.
"But I would be devastated if… I keep thinking about Sam being sad. I’ve not done anything but I’m just worried in case people try and say stuff when it’s not like that.”
When Megan McKenna and Scotty T saw Stephanie in tears as she left the diary room, Scotty pointed out that it was because she had feelings for Jeremy.
