Boy George brands The X Factor a ‘joke’ over Honey G
The singer isn't happy about the show
Honey G is the talk of the nation at the moment as her controversial act continues to sail through every week on The X Factor, and now Boy George has expressed his opinion on her.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, The Voice mentor admitted he thinks The X Factor is ‘ridiculous’ for allowing the aspiring rapper to perform. He said, "I think she'll be a great Britain's Got Talent contestant. For a singing show, it's ridiculous.”
The ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me’ singer then expressed his anger that Freddy Parker was sent home in last weekend’s show, he added “The fact that Freddy got sent home and other people got sent home and she got kept, it's like a joke."
Honey G, real name Anne Georgette Gilford, was criticised by viewers of the show after her Motown performance was strikingly similar to her performance the week before.
Honey used her famous lyrics “H-O-N-E-Y-G, When I say Honey, you say G, Honey, G, Honey, G” repeatedly throughout her performance of ‘Mo Money Mo’.

Meanwhile, Honey G's mentor Sharon Osbourne appeared on the Good Morning Britain sofa earlier in the week to defend her controversial act.
Speaking to Piers Moran and Susanna Reid, Sharon seemingly admitted Honey’s talents don’t involve singing, but she did say, “I don’t know I just know Honey G, she is a lovely lady and she is having the time of her life. Her talent is, she’s brave and living the dream. And absolutely living the dream. She makes people happy. She does."
The X Factor judge also put rumours to bed that she was drunk during the show.
