Richie Foran claimed his side have been left jaded following clashes against the Old Firm after watching Inverness play out a tepid 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock.

The Caley Thistle boss was not happy with his side's lack of freshness against the Rugby Park side, a week after their 1-0 loss to Rangers the week before.

Lonsana Doumbouya's late goal got the Caley Jags out of jail in the Highlands, after Souleymane Coulibaly's early penalty looked to have earned all three points for Killie.

But Foran was still concerned, having claimed his side were also under-par in a 3-1 win over Dundee last month - a game which followed their 2-2 draw with Celtic.

Games you play after the Old Firm are always tough,'' Foran said.We don't seem to perform after we play them. Although we scored early against Dundee and got a result against them, I didn't think the performance was great either.

You come from the exciting game, Friday night, full house, great atmosphere and today it's a bit flat. Maybe we'll give them an excuse for that.

Maybe mentally we weren't right - and we did look a wee bit tired in the first half. There is definitely a temptation to freshen it for the midweek game at Motherwell.''

Foran's Kilmarnock counterpart Lee Clark was dismayed at losing two points late on in a match during which Kris Boyd struck a post.

Killie beat St Johnstone away last week and looked like picking up six points from six from two difficult away games, before Doumbouya's late intervention.

It's frustrating to lose the goal near the end after being in control of the game for large periods and being dominant,'' he said.

We started really well and deservedly took the lead and looked impressive going forward and making chances. We've hit the woodwork twice and had other numerous chances. We were in control of the game really and they weren't hurting us.

But we knew they had a threat and would throw the proverbial kitchen sink at us at the end and we're disappointed that we could have done better from the long throw.''
