Celtic striker Colin Kazim-Richards has left the club and joined Brazilian outfit Coritiba, the Scottish Premiership outfit announced on Thursday.

The 29-year-old, who lists Fenerbahce and Galatasaray amongst his former club - after starting his career at Bury 12 years ago and then moving on to Brighton and Sheffield United - joined the Scottish champions earlier this year from Dutch side Feyenoord.

Celtic wrote on their official website: "Celtic FC can confirm that Colin Kazim-Richards has left the club and will be joining Coritiba. Everyone at the club wishes Colin the very best for the future."

Turkey international Kazim-Richards scored two goals in 12 appearances last season for the Hoops and has signed a contract with the Paranaense side until December 31, 2017.

A statement on the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A club's official website, portal.coritiba.com.br, read: "The striker Kazim is officially the new reinforcement of Coritiba. Kazim has already started the training with his team-mates of Coritiba on the afternoon of Thursday (June, 9)."

Kazim-Richards will wear the number 10 shirt for Coritiba.
