More tributes have been paid this morning to the family devastated by the Aberdeen beach tragedy.

Lucas Walker, 6, has been called a "lovely little boy - popular among classmates and staff" by head teacher at Bramble Brae School Amanda Murray.

He died along with his mum Julie, 37, after being pulled from the water on Saturday.

Aberdeen Donside MSP Mark MacDonald is among those praising 13 year Samuel Walker who jumped in to try and save them.

He sat down with our reporter Phil McDonald.

Over the last few days people have been laying flowers by the beach writing messages to the family affected.
