Vandals have targetted an all weather pitch in Aberdeenshire for the third time.
Vandals have targetted an all weather pitch in Aberdeenshire for the third time.
During the month of July the all weather sports pitch situated within Minerallwell Park, Stonehaven has suffered a series of damages.
In one incident the perimeter fencing was damaged.
Other instances saw small sections of the outer edge of the playing surface have been scorched.
Investigating officer PC Steven McKenzie said: "The all-weather sports pitch at Mineralwell Park was only opened in September last year for the benefit of the whole community.
"This makes it all the more disappointing that someone or some people have tried to damage it.
"Police Scotland takes incidents of vandalism very seriously and I would urge anyone who knows anything about these incidents to get in contact with us."
