Three arrested over police station fire

A 41 year old woman, and a 23 year old man and a 19 year old man arrested over an incident at an Aberdeen police station

Officers investigating an alleged attempted fire-raising at an Aberdeen police station have made threee arrests.

It happened at the Dyce office at 7:20am on Tuesday.

Firefighters managed to put out the blaze before there was any damage, but the primary school next door was closed for the day.

A 41 year old woman and a 23 year old man were charged overnight.

A 19 year old man has been charged this morning.

The police are assuring locals that this appears to have been a rare and isolated incident, and they're thanking them for the patience and assistence while they dealt with it.

They still want to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious, or who spotted a silver volkswagen in the area at the time.
