St Nicholas Centre Rooftop To Get Green Makeover

Published 5th May 2015

The rooftop of the popular St Nicholas Centre is to be transformed into a public greenspace.

Just under £200,000 worth of funding has been secured from Aberdeen City Council, Greenspace Scotland, Aberdeen Inspired, The Bon Accord and St Nicholas shopping malls and Atkins and Creative Core.

The project, which is being spearheaded by Aberdeen Inspired, aims to create a public space where Aberdonians can relax in the city centre.

It is even thought work on the project could begin as early as this weekend.

Our reporter Hope Webb spoke to Gary Craig, Chief Executive of Aberdeen Inspired about the plans.
